Alun Williams
I’m Alun Williams, and even though I know NOTHING about science, I’m very keen to learn!!
My dad was a science teacher, but when I was younger I HATED science and thought the subject was TOTALLY BORING! When I was a kid, the only ‘scientific’ thing I did was to burn ants with a magnifying glass during my school lunchbreak.
Don’t tell Robyn or Heledd, BUT since I’ve been working on this programme I’ve realised that science is cool….no, really!
I’ve blown things up (not rubber rings, but real explosions), driven a red Ferrari, and dropped boxes of eggs whilst standing on top of a very very very high crane. Oh yeah, without forgetting the date I had with singer Elin Fflur.
The worst experience was having to sniff fox urine! How great is that (???!). I have a sneaky feeling that many more experiences lie in wait!

Heledd Dafydd
I’m Heledd, and I come from Rhyl – the same town as Alun as it happens! I’m one of the science boffins who wears the white coat, but I keep trying to make sure that what I wear underneath the coat is stylish! I’ ve always loved science – the ‘Why? And ‘How?’ has always intrigued and interested me. I guess I’m just a nosy person really!
My dream – possibly a little unrealistic! - is to play the last gig on the main stage at Glastonbury! I play bass with a funk band in Rhyl called the Primadonnas (although I stress that I’m not one!!)…so maybe one day, who knows?!!
My favourite bands are the Super Furry Animals and Muse. I’m also a keen photographer and like to create pieces of art…sculpture, drawings, those kinds of things. To keep fit, I like to go jogging on the beach at Rhyl, past the donkeys! And I also like to play some squash. I try to get to watch as many rugby matches in the Millennium Stadium as possible, and I’d love to meet Dwayne Peel one day.
Dr.Robyn Wheldon Williams
I’m Robyn, and I wear a white coat...not everywhere, but a lot of the time! I’m a chemistry teacher at Ysgol Brynhyfryd in Rhuthun, but maybe you’ve seen me creating all kinds of explosions in the Sioe Gemeg (Chemistry Show) around Wales as well as on the Eisteddfod field.
Apart from enjoying the odd explosion, I’m a keen football fan (come on Liverpool!!) and play golf, tennis and squash. I like fast cars – especially red Ferraris! Maybe that’s why red is my favourite colour?! I’m not a huge music fan, but I like to listen to Meinir Gwilym. I love my food, especially curries, but I have to state here and now that I absolutely hate boiled egg and mushrooms. Uurgh!
My ultimate goal is to someday be able to go into space, meet Katherine Jenkins, and be an extra on Neighbours. My favourite spot in the whole world has to be Abersoch – I think it must be the sea air that helps me come up with even more wacky experiments to do on the show!
